Polishing and Grain Finishing:
Polishing is used as a preparation before plating to achieve a mirror bright finish. It can also be used on stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, and other materials to achieve a bright luster normally known as a #8 mirror finish. Grain finishing is a process using abrasive belts or other abrasive media to give a straight lined or scratched pattern.
Is a process using compressed air and sand, glass beads, plastic, aluminum oxide, and even crushed walnut shells for deburring, rust removal, paint removal, plating removal or as in general to give a certain desired finish before plating, anodizing, powder coating, painting, or as a final finish.
